Statement

Being Vegetarian is so much fun when you eat at Venus Sophia. Using our best Vegetarian recipes from over the years, we’ve put together a menu to die for, that includes some tasty Vegan dishes too. People sometimes ask us, why Vegetarian? For us it is a love affair. We want everyone to have an amazing vegetarian food experience, without the need to harm the cute animals, while still getting plenty of delicious proteins and nutrients in what we feel is a healthier way to eat. We also want to offer meat eaters a chance to experiment and enjoy different cuisines: Vegetarian cuisine.

We love experimenting with texture and flavour, and we don’t think Vegetarian food has to be mushy or raw. On the contrary, we like to offer you an array of textures and new flavours which will create fireworks on your palate. For the vegetarian diet, we put emphasis on creating balanced meals between carbs, veg, and protein. You can find on our menu a nice variety of raw foods (try our creative salads), gluten free options (found in bread substitutes), and vegan options (try our Veggie kebab or vegan-ized oyster mushroom focaccia). We use only free-range & organic eggs (veggie fed chickens), and use the best cheeses & local dairy products for our Vegetarian dishes. Everything is cooked in-house, made from scratch (with very few exceptions of course), like our Vegetarian lasagna, focaccia, daily soup, and Mediterranean tapas: the Babaganoush and Egyptian Fava Beans are very popular! Also, most of our ingredients are organic… from the legumes, to the flour, and salads. Vegetarian cooking from the heart!
