Exchanges & Returns
Exchanges will only be accepted for tea accessories and tea ware which have been unused and must be in good condition. Items which are damaged after usage will not be exchanged. Returns of loose leaf tea and coffee beans will not be accepted due to health reasons. Items for return must be accompanied by a reciept or may be exchanged for their current value. Items must be exchanged or returned within 10 days of purchase.
Loose Leaf Tea Care
Proper storage is essential in order to keep tea fresh. Keep away from direct sunlight, light, and heat. Store tea in a cool and dry place. Our specialty tea bags are designed to keep tea fresh for the longest time. We recommend that you seal the bag well after each use by emptying any air from the bag, then fastening it so that it is ‘air tight’. Empty tins are also available for purchase at the store as an alternative way to store your tea.
Your Health and Tea
We offer a range of teas and herbal teas that are world renowned for their medicinal properties, however we are in no way implying that the use of these teas will treat, cure or heal ailments. All tea products are natural or naturally flavored. We are not responsible for health problems resulting from misuse of any of the drinking tea products. Please consult your doctor before drinking tea as some types may cause unwanted interactions such as in women whom are pregnant or breast feeding. If you are using medication or have a health condition, please consult your physician before drinking tea or using it for any other purpose. Please be aware that many teas are high in caffiene and may not be suitable for children.
Pricing, Taxes and Other charges
All prices are in Canadian dollars. Prices of merchandise and from the food & beverage menu are subject to change without notice. We accept cash, Interac, Visa and Mastercard. If you are a US customer, you can pay in US dollars at the current exchange rate and will receive any change in Canadian dollars as according to the law. American Express is not accepted. Taxes are not included in any of our prices. All applicable taxes and other charges such as a set gratuity on some of our services where indicated will be added to the purchase price.

Logos, wording and images of (1) our food products (2) people, and (3) our venue, displayed on this site are the property of Venus Sophia Tea Room & Vegetarian Eatery. No parts of this website may be reproduced in any form for commercial use. You may download some information on this site such as menus for personal use only.
Important Disclaimer: Please be advised that we are a new business, operating under new ownership and business name as of April 2011. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for any gift certificates issued to customers by the previous owners of Venus Sophia Tea Room, before it changed hands in April 2011. Some gift certificates were accepted between April and end of July 2011, as we were compensated for them under an agreement lasting for the duration of those months ONLY. In that time frame we only accepted gift certificates with a valid month + year expiry date for the year 2011, and signed by either Jill Rosemary or Tristan. As of July 27, 2011 no more gift certificates issued under previous ownership will be transferred to us, nor will we be compensated for them in any way.
