Yesterday’s afternoon music with Swing On By somehow created that perfect Sunday afternoon feeling.  The soft and harmonious tones and songs combined with the serving of tea, and just stopping and listening and being together, brought  another kind of nourishment.

Suddenly what was the wood flooring of the tea room transformsed itself into the perfect dance floor where a gentle choreography of swaying and moving to the music unfolded.

Too shy to move from behind the espresso machine, I never the less moved ever so slightly outwardly, but inwardly had composed an entire dance routine in my imagination that had me moving to Swing On By’s musical compositions stopping and starting and gazing and bending backwards, only to start again, up and down the space behind the counter…..it was a lovely inner dance and frankly, just as satisfying as if I had broke out on the real dance floor….and I’m quite sure more graceful.

So mark your calendars, January 24,  they will be back, playing each and every 2nd and 4th Sunday afternoon at the Tea Room from 4 to 6 p.m..  Join us for a lovely pot of Sunday afternoon tea,  a specialty coffee, a light meal, a nice warm bowl of soup or something from our sweet selections.  Be sure to bring your dance shoes and/or your imagination and meet us on the perfect dance floor in the Venus Sophia Tea Room.

We are closed Mondays.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday  10-5

Friday, Saturday and Sundays 10-6.

And as soon as we have our evenings ready, we will add that to our hours.
