Venus Sophia Tea Room is an elegant tea room in Victoria, BC….imaginatively elegant.

When you walk inside of the Tea Room, you are embraced by a sense of beauty, spaciousness, and tranquility.  The lighting is full and all encompassing touching into the realm of sparkling and radiating.  Shabby chic furniture with overstuffed floral cushions,  wicker chairs, and pillows on the couches give a large variety of seating options.  Whether it is by the fireplace, in the sitting area or by the windows, there is a place to have a lovely cup of organic tea or coffee.

The theme of bicycles with baskets of flowers hanging on the tall interior walls supports the phrase—a tea room with imagination….because you can just imagine yourself anywhere you want to be having your tea….a little cafe in Paris, a small tea house in China or Japan, or a lovely tea room in Chinatown in Victoria, BC.

Our tea is served in teapots and teacups and our coffees have artistic mugs for your aesthetic tastes.  Our interest is to support the culture of tea, every day…..which for us, means having a place to sit down and have a nice cup of tea with one’s self or with a friend or family.

We have teas from China, India, Japan, Sri Lanka, and will continue including as many different growing regions as possible.  We offer our own Venus Sophia  black, green, white and herbal organic teas.  We love tea and will be offering tea tastings every now and then.

Our Oso Negro coffee is famous for its rich dark blends, and has created our very own Venus Sophia blend.  We sell the freshly roasted beans in our tea room.  Level Ground has a full-bodied flavour organic coffee, which we also serve. We make fine specialized coffee drinks and always have a new coffee blend brewing for your refined tastes.  We sell all of our organic teas and coffees retail as well.

Alongside of our serving of tea and coffee, we also have a beautiful boutique filled with one of a kind treasures, both new and re-used, from garments to gifts. We are supporting local artisans and hope to continue expanding with many genres of the artistic. We have also begun our art gallery which will have regular showings each month.

We are very excited about our environment which honours  our name or is it our name honouring our environment?  In either case, Venus represents love and beauty and Sophia is wisdom…..so just imagine a lemniscate or figure eight that encompasses the love of wisdom, the wisdom of inner beauty, the beauty of living wisdom and the beauty of love all in a teacup….all in the tea room…..all of it in all of us……in our hearts and souls and spirits….in our human beingness…..welcome to the Venus Sophia Tea Room garmented in this pure intention……she opens a lovely soulful and heart filled space which we welcome you into to share with us and with others.

We look forward to serving you tea or coffee or an exquisite lunch from our artisan menu.  We have lovely raw food selections, baked goods, healthy drinks, homemade soups and much more.  We specialize in red espresso, yerba mate and matcha lattes, and soon will be making our very own chai fresh every morning.
